Smithsonian Magazine’s Museum Day Live gives you free admission to participating museums in any city in the country this Saturday, September 24th.
We know of at least five museums in Palm Beach County participating and a few more in Fort Lauderdale and Miami. Before showing up at one or more of these organizations, download your #MuseumDayLive ticket here.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center
Exhibits: Five tropical and South Florida aquariums; 15 live sea turtle viewing tanks; interactive learning exhibits. Plus Jr. Vet Kids Lab and fish feeding.

Norton Museum of Art
Exhibit: Giverny, Journal of an Unseen Garden, a five-channel, high-definition underwater video that pays homage to Monet’s practice of studying the effects of shifting light on a single subject and captures the hourly and seasonal changes in different locations of the waterscape.

Note: The Norton is technically free until 2018 while renovations go down.
Boca Raton Museum of Art
Exhibits: All Florida Invitational, an exhibition of artists from the Sunshine State in all mediums; Jose Alvarez (D.O.P.A), Krome, a series of ballpoint-pen portraits of fellow detainees in Krome Detention Center in Miami.

Children’s Science Explorium
Exhibit: Beyond the Game, an exhibition of the sports and evolution of South Florida.

NSU Art Museum of Fort Lauderdale
Exhibits: Belief + Doubt = Sanity; Five Centuries of Prints from Rembrandt to Picasso; African Art; Chuck Close Photographs; and Modernist in the Making by William J. Glackens.

Young at Art Museum
Exhibits: The whole family will love this place. ArtScapes, CultureScapes and WonderScapes are hard to explain but you can walk through them here.

History Miami Museum
Exhibits: A hands-on science exhibit designed in-house with interactive components. Also a temporary exhibit, “Sinatra: An American Icon.”
